Why did my Pre-Paid Credit Card decline?

A common reason for a credit, debit, or pre-paid card transaction to be declined is a mismatch between the details of the address associated to the Clearwire account and the address details associated with the credit card or debit card being used for the payment.

Tips on how to avoid Pre-Paid Credit Card Declines:

  • Ensure the pre-paid card has been registered online with the card’s financial institution.
  • Be sure that your Clearwire customer billing address & zip code matches the address & zip code that you have on file with the credit card financial institution.

If your pre-paid credit card payment is declined, you will need to contact Clearwire via Live Chat to have the pre-authorization hold released. The funds on hold will not be available for use until the hold has been released.
